Warner Bros: The Meg Premiere
Serving up delicious fish and chips for the Mega-hungry crowd
We were delighted to have been invited, once again, by Warner Bros Pictures to provide the catering for the premiere of their new ‘shark horror’ blockbuster ‘The Meg’, starring Hollywood hardman Jason Statham.
The movie begins with a massive creature attacking a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. With time running out, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) must save the crew and the ocean itself from an unimaginable threat – a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.
Had we caught the odd escaped Megalodon we could have just about fed the eager cast, crew and guests at the premiere but we prefer to stick to succulent cod sourced from sustained Icelandic waters, line caught, and served skinless and boneless. And we only use freshly chipped Maris Piper potatoes for our crisp, golden and delicious chips.
On the night of the 7th August, 3 days ahead of general release in the UK, we served up 360 portions of fish and chips and 400 ice creams from our much-loved Vintage Style Ices trike at the fab Brockwell Lido.
